Sylvan LaCue

Originally from Miami, Florida, Sylvan LaCue officially began his music career in 2009, though he's been rapping since the age of 7. Sylvan’s lyrics have been described as “unapologetic and true." In 2009, Sylvan out-rapped 660 other MCs to become champion of the “Survival of the MCs” competition hosted by Jermaine Dupri. After the release of his critically acclaimed “Searching Sylvan” mixtape, the Huffington Post added him to the “11 Artists You need to Know for the Rest of 2014” list, noting “[Sylvan] is about to prove himself one of the most promising storytellers in hip-hop” and that Searching Sylvan was  "one of the best albums all year." With more than 14 projects under his belt and editorial coverage from the likes of FADER, Complex, HotNewHipHop, OkayPlayer, VIBE, and dozens more, it's safe to say the best is yet to come from Sylvan LaCue. DJBooth recently agreed, naming Sylvan to their Top 10 Most Anticipated Albums of 2020, Stay tuned.
